What is Table View in Instagantt?

Table View is a powerful feature in Instagantt designed to give project managers a detailed and organized way to view and manage tasks. Unlike the Gantt chart view, which focuses on timelines and dependencies, Table View presents your tasks in a spreadsheet-like format, allowing you to easily analyze and edit information across all project columns—including custom fields.

Why Use Table View?

In project management, it’s essential to have a clear and comprehensive overview of all tasks. Table View helps you quickly scan, filter, and manage tasks without the visual complexity of a Gantt chart. This is especially useful for teams that need to:

  • Focus on task details
  • Work with multiple custom fields
  • Sort and filter based on specific criteria
  • Update task information in bulk

With Table View, you're able to see the same list of tasks from the Gantt view, but in a more detailed and tabular format. It’s ideal for managing data-heavy projects or collaborating with team members who prefer working with tables.

Key Features of Table View

  • 📋 Full task list visibility in a clean, column-based layout
  • ⚙️ Support for all active custom fields
  • 🔍 Easy filtering and sorting
  • 🧩 Simplified view with no overlapping Gantt elements
